Canadian Company Helps US Customers
Energy Efficiency Leader Opens Office in the United States
Summerhill is pleased to announce the opening of its first office in the United States. The award winning business is one of Canada’s most successful energy efficiency companies, delivering programs across the country for over 65 utilities and other channel partners.
“We are extremely excited and pleased to be operating in the United States” said Ian Morton, CEO. “We are particularly happy that Lotte Schlegel, former COO of the Institute for Market Transformation, will be leading our business efforts to design and implement programs for our clients and their customers that meet energy savings goals and achieve results.”
With its office in Washington D.C., Summerhill is bringing its proven formula of connecting with utility customers through a variety of media--events, retail stores, on-line and via the phone--to influence their energy consumption choices in a positive and measurable way. Summerhill follows a centralized administration and local implementation model that creates local green jobs that help customers save energy and money. “Washington D.C. is a great place for our first US offices,” notes Lotte Schlegel, VP of Business Development and Operations for Summerhill in the US; “it gives us access to so many decision makers and allows us to tap into both national and regional energy efficiency initiatives and participate in a much broader discussion.”
Summerhill is a certified B-Corporation and was named one of Canada’s Best Workplaces three years in a row. Since 2000, Summerhill has delivered measurable energy efficiency programs for their clients. Based in Toronto, Ontario, it has offices in Regina, Saskatchewan and Halifax, Nova Scotia, in addition to the new office opened in Washington D.C.
