How Companies Save On Energy Bills
Making eco-friendly business decisions can be expensive, but it doesn’t always have to be.
Now any company whether it’s for manufacturing, healthcare, education, or anything else, has the opportunity to better themselves in terms of energy efficiency.
New York State Energy Research and Development Authority (NYSERDA) is one corporation that aims to help companies cut back on energy consumption. Its website states that it offers businesses reports on “energy-saving activities, energy-improvement spending by industry, and choosing an energy-efficient program partner.”
NYSERDA makes custom reports that tailor to any given company after answering a few short questions. The report then shows its viewers graphs of how much energy and money companies could be saving. NYSERDA professionals work and research to help companies protect the environment and to create energy-efficient jobs.
“Nearly all survey respondents (92 percent) believe their company is focused on saving energy and reducing energy costs,” NYSERDA states in the report.
However, countless graphs in the report show how much energy NYSERDA program participants save compared to those who are not involved in the program. For example, 82 percent of NYSERDA program participants measure their energy consumption, yet only half of non-participants say they do the same.
It may be hard to make some of the changes proposed in the report, but their research shows how much it can improve the level of energy consumption not only for New Yorkers, but for also for companies across the nation.
