Iroquois Valley Farmers Hold Annual Meeting

Iroquois Valley Farms Meeting 2017

The Iroquois Valley Farms held its annual meeting this past July 22, 2017.  The meeting boasted a record high attendance and was hosted by Loyola University Chicago.  This year's menu was catered by a Chicago restaurant named Uncommon Ground and contained mouthwatering treats that were locally sourced from Iroquois Valley farmers. One of the items highlighted on the event's menu was a black bean slider covered in gouda cheese, then smothered in a secret sauce.  Aside from good food and fun, the annual meeting also set records for the Iroquois Valley Farms.

This year's meeting broke records as the Iroquois Valley Farms boosted their investors to over three hundred groups hailing from thirty six different states or countries.  In addition to gaining a range of investors, operations were also expanded to Minnesota, Vermont, Iowa, and Virginia.  In doing so, they were able to lease nearly 7,300 acres of land for transitioning and organic farmers.
